ISO 20121: A sign for more sustainability
In February, insglück started the certification process for sustainable event management in accordance with the international standard ISO 20121. The process is coordinated and supported by the associations IFES and fwd: Bundesvereinigung Veranstaltungswirtschaft.
The agency is taking part in the certification process in convoy with other companies. The participants include fellow campaigners from the agency, catering, trade fair and design sectors - all united by the goal of making the event industry more sustainable.
"Dialogue among the participants is a central component of the program. We are therefore looking forward to working together and to an intensive exchange in order to shape the future of a sustainable event industry together," says Malte Heindl, Head of Operations & Member of the Board, who has taken the lead for the certification process at insglück.
ISO 20121 sets international standards for comprehensive sustainability management in the event industry. It supports companies in adapting to future legal requirements and stakeholder expectations. The certification also serves as recognized proof of sustainability performance.
