The Light Festival 2019 was the first to take place at Christmas. Reflecting the season, the client wanted to stage the Crystal Worlds in a more poetic way. The brief was to transform them into worlds that embraced the warmth and romance of Christmastime, encouraged reflection and interaction, and surprised and touched the hearts of visitors. insglück’s concept was called ‘Christmas in Heaven‘, a ‘heavenly story’ reflecting the mood and symbolism of Christmas and providing visitors with tranquil, poetic and magic moments. Illuminated heavenly gates and crystalline angelic figures guided people through the glittering experience world. Interactive light and sound installations added to the fascination and emotional appeal of the experience. Visitors participated in the process by using sensors and touchscreens to activate the sparkling art installations and bathe the garden and exhibits around the Giant in atmospheric light.
