World Expos are more than major international events. They capture the pulse of their times: revealing what societies believe in, which technologies are shaping our future, and how we want to live, work and come together in the years ahead. Ig News Ja Expo 2035 Intro

Our experience has shown that a World Expo can have an impact far beyond the event year itself. It can give a host city fresh momentum—boosting its economy and infrastructure, raising its international profile and driving social development. At the same time, it brings together people, cultures, science, technology and political visions. Complex issues shaping our future become more than topics for discussion: they become shared experiences.

Over the past few years, we have developed concepts for and helped shape numerous international Expo projects: the German Pavilion at Expo 2017 in Astana, the Kazakhstan Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, the German Garden at Floriade Expo 2022 in Almere and, most recently, the Kuwait Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka. We will also be taking part in Expo 2027 in Belgrade.

These projects have shown us the power of the format. Expos shine a spotlight on innovation and sustainability, foster cultural dialogue and bring the issues shaping our future onto a global stage.

EXPO 2035 in Berlin can send a powerful message of openness, readiness for the future and new ways of thinking and creating together. We look forward to advancing this vision alongside Global Goals für Berlin and many committed partners.
