Bankers on the Ball – a Campaign with True Fans
After a five-year break, Sparda-Bank West has returned as a Champion Partner of Borussia Dortmund – with a digital-first approach that brings fans, content, and live experiences together on a dedicated Instagram channel. At its heart is a fictional mockumentary series that continuously engages and integrates the fans.
The sponsorship activation translates the core values of the cooperative bank – community and solidarity – into the black-and-yellow world. Humorous, approachable, and enriched with actions that create real added value.
Under the motto “Here for Us”, new live and digital experiences have been created continuously since the 2024/25 season. And for the current season, further highlights are already in the pipeline – from the stadium to the social feed.

Bankers on the Ball – The Mockumentary
A banker, a numbers geek, an intern with a plan – and one mission: the perfect partnership with BVB. The mockumentary we developed shows what happens when the world of banking collides with black-and-yellow fan culture. Short, Instagram-friendly, tongue-in-cheek. The special twist: selected episodes link directly to live activations, creating a seamless connection between online and offline experiences.
Fan experiences with real added value
From an ATM that spits out prizes instead of cash, to the fan van that takes supporters to away games, all the way to the LED display on the stadium’s north façade where real fans see themselves and their most emotional moments – the campaign is packed with entertaining highlights.
